This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their Personally identifiable information ("PII") is being used online. PII, as used in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, disclose, protect or otherwise handle your PII when you visit BidUnity.com or our affiliated websites and mobile applications.

BidUnity is operated by APM Technologies, which is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our address is under "Contacting Us" below.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website, blog, or app?

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, Business Information or other details to help you with your experience.

We also collect the content you create or upload when using our services.

We collect information from you when you register on our site or enter information on our site.

Your devices

We collect information about the devices you use to access our services, which helps us provide features like notifications when you are clocked in.

The information we collect includes browser type, device type, operating system, and application version number.

We collect this information when you login or use our service from your device.

Your location

We may collect information about your location, which can be seen by your company administrators to help with your timesheet.

We collect this information when you use the mobile app, or the Time Clock feature, to clock in or clock out from a project. We may also collect this information when you arrive at or leave from a job site for which you are scheduled.

Your device may determine your location with different accuracy by GPS, cell towers, Wi-Fi access points, or other information depending on your device.

How you use BidUnity

We collect information about how you use our website and mobile app: the pages you visit, the features and buttons you use, how quickly pages load and respond, and errors that happen while you use them. We use this to see which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the product.

This information is tied to your account and your company. It includes the device and browser information described above, and your name and email address. It does not include your IP address. We set up our analytics to leave out the contents of your proposals, your prices, and the names of your customers and projects.

We use PostHog, Inc. to collect and store this information for us. PostHog stores it on servers in the United States and may not use it for its own purposes.

We do not collect this information in these cases:

• Your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
• You are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.
• You have asked us to exclude your account. Email support@bidunity.com to do so.

You can also email us to delete the usage information tied to your account. We will do so within 45 days.

Pages shared with you

Companies that use BidUnity can share proposals, quotes, and project pages with their customers and suppliers through a link. When you open one of these pages, we count the visit and record the device and browser information described above. We do not set analytics cookies on these pages and our analytics do not identify you. The company that shared the page with you may be able to see that it was opened, but not who opened it.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, use the website or mobile app, or contact us. We use it in these ways:

• To provide the service: storing your company's projects, running the features you use, and sending the emails you ask us to send, such as quotes, purchase orders and user invitations.
• To bill your company's subscription.
• To improve our website to better serve you.
• To understand which features are used and where people run into errors.
• To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.

How do we protect visitor information?

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, your information is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.

We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

We store your information on servers in the United States.

We don't take card payments today. When we do, our payment processor (Stripe) will collect and store your card details. Full card numbers will never pass through or be stored on BidUnity's systems; we will only receive what we need to manage your subscription, such as the card brand, last four digits and expiry date.

Do we use 'cookies'?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to keep you logged in to the site.

We use cookies to:

• Keep you logged in to the site.
• Recognize your browser between visits so we can understand how you use BidUnity, as described under "How you use BidUnity" above. These analytics cookies and similar browser storage are set by our site, not by an advertising network. They are not used to follow you across other websites, and we do not set them on pages shared with you through a link.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser's Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.

If you disable cookies, you will not be able to stay logged in and some features will not work.

Third-party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when its release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property or safety.

These kinds of service providers process data for us:

• Hosting and database providers.
• Stripe, for subscription payments, once we take card payments.
• Email delivery providers.
• PostHog, for product analytics, as described above.
• AI providers, for plan analysis.

Third-party links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA requires websites that collect personal information from California residents to post a privacy policy saying what they collect and who they share it with.

According to CalOPPA we agree to the following:

Pages shared with you through a link can be viewed without an account.

This policy is linked, by a link labeled "Privacy", from the footer of every signed-in BidUnity page and from our Terms of Service.

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update its "Last edited" date.

How does our site handle do not track signals?

If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we do not collect information about how you use BidUnity in that browser. We still set the cookie needed to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising on our site.

Does our site allow third-party behavioral tracking?

No. We do not use advertising networks and do not allow third parties to track you across other websites. Our analytics provider, PostHog, processes usage information only on our behalf and may not use it for its own purposes.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation's consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect PII from children under the age of 13. If you believe we may have PII from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we may investigate and remove any such PII.

If there is a data breach

If a security breach affects your personal information, we will email the affected users without undue delay, and no later than 30 days after we confirm the breach. We may delay notice if law enforcement asks us to.

Email

We collect your email address in order to:

• Uniquely assign usernames to each user.
• Allow you to send information such as quotes and purchase orders directly from this application to your customers and suppliers.
• Send you account emails, such as invitations and password resets.

We don't send marketing email today. If we add product news or newsletters later, we will only send them to people who have agreed to receive them, and each one will have an unsubscribe link and our postal address.

Your rights

You can see and correct your name and contact details on your profile page. Your company's administrators can correct your company's information.

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@bidunity.com. We will respond within 45 days.

Much of what is in BidUnity, such as projects, proposals and time entries, belongs to your company's account. We may need your company administrator's agreement before we delete it.
